Product Notes: Mixing Oils with - Fragrance Base:

Choose Your Ratio - A common starting point is a 1:3 ratio (1 part fragrance oil to 3 parts base).

Please kindly refrain from mixing the perfume directly into your signature / original perfume bottle. Instead, we recommend that you use a dedicated glass holding bottle for mixing and maturing.

For best results, place your mixture for 12 to 24 hours in a freezer to allow maturing, or place on a cool, dark self for 5 days to a week. Once matured, test the fragrance. You can adjust by adding base or fragrance oil as needed.

It is essential to filter the mixture before transferring it to the final perfume bottle. Additionally, we recommend rinsing the perfume bottle with a small amount of alcohol before filling it. This helps to remove any impurities and ensures a smooth and clear product.

I've used the fragrance base in my round 150ml diffuser bottle, with fragrance oil and although the smell is very concentrated and carries well, it evaporates extremely quickly. In just 1 week there is only half the liquid ( base + oil ) left in the diffuser bottle. I cant believe this is right. Any idea as to why it is evaporating so quickly?

The UV Fragrance base are alcohol-based, particularly ethanol, which tends to evaporate slightly more than other water based products.

Additionally, environmental factors such as temperature, humidity, and air circulation play a significant role.

For example:

Heat: Higher temperatures increase evaporation rates.
Airflow: More airflow around the diffuser can accelerate evaporation.
Humidity: Lower humidity levels can cause the alcohol to evaporate faster.

Given these factors, it's not unusual for the base to evaporate relatively faster, especially in warmer or more ventilated environments.

The concentrated scent is a good sign that the fragrance is strong and your setup is working well.

If you're looking to extend the life of your diffuser, you might consider adjusting the environment where it's placed. Also, ensure that the diffuser is kept in a cool, less drafty spot to slow down evaporation.

I love this UV base since I'm based in the hot climated Mpumalanga, it just enhances the fragrant whilst containing the scent to last even longer, alcohol also not hitting hard on the nostrils,absolutely creating magical.
